here's a joke shared by chia hoe in class today, i shall share it here on my blog (a bit edited cos i don't remember the exact details):
once upon a time, there was 3 man travelling on a ship. halfway through their voyage, they were caught in a storm and they found themselves shipwrecked on an island. the island was inhabited by red indians, and these red indians were very crazy ones. the red indians wanted to kill them at first, but decided to give chance and test them. the 3 man were told to go look for a fruit each on the island. so the 3 of them went and 2 of them came back soon after. then the red indians told them to stick the fruit up their a** (chia hoe say de ar) and if they didnt laugh, they would be spared. the first person found a rambutan, so as it felt ticklish, he laughed and he was killed. the second person had a grape, and he was so confident and did not laugh throughout. however, when he looked up, he suddenly burst out laughing and was killed.
the next day, the first person met the second person in heaven. so the first guy said, "what a waste, u're supposed to have gone through and survived. why did u burst out laughing?"
the second guy replied, "oh, because i saw the third guy coming back with a durian"

blogging to keep my blog alive, though i don't really have anything to blog about.
sec3s just camp back from their adventure camp yesterday, and their camp t-shirt look a lot nicer than the ones we had last year, makes me so jealous (actually not really because i didn't go for sec3 camp last year, lolx)
prelims are nearing, it's just less than a month away. 'o' levels coming soon too... will be going through the ultimate test in november, hope i can make it through smoothly.
i miss track...

RV Athletics have a new champion!!! Mr. Wong Zhenjie did the school proud today by clinching the 1st place in the 800m 'b' boys finals today!! Whoa, it was a damn good race!! Was soooooo glad that we were allowed to go and support, and it was definitely worth it! You people should have been there to watch the race! it was like damn exciting lor.
zhenjie started off the race in the middle of the pack and at the last 200m, he was chasing, chasing, chasing, all the way until he was the first. and we were all just screaming and cheering as hard as we could, until he crossed the finishing line with both his arms raised high in the air. when is the last time rv sportsmen won a gold medal in a nationals competition? i dunno... well anyway, to zhenjie: congratulations
well, not forgetting hendy and minzhang, both of them also put up a good fight today, coming in 6th and 8th respectively in the 'c' boys 800m. it was a great run. hey, u two still have next year to train for, especially minzhang cos you're only a sec1 so continue to strive for better results =)
on monday, zhenjie (again xD) and joanna will be competing in the 400m finals in the morning. all the best to the both of them. on wednesday, which is the final day, hendy and michelle will be competing in the 1500m and 800m finals respectively. also, the 4x400m 'c' girls and 'c' boys will be having their finals then. but i think supporters need some sort of a pass to get in on that day so errr.... i dunno abt that. well, all the best to these few people, jiayou!!

finally, everything is over, for me. today's race will be the last competitive race i'll be running for rv athletics, so i guess it's time for me to hang up my spikes...
well, for today's race, we did well. although we were like 5th in our heat... i still think we did well, lolx. c'mon, we're running with our reserves man, and we were still able to get under 4 minutes, hahax. timing was 3:57. the c boys managed to get into the finals, and they also ran w/o hendy and minzhang lor, they so pro. rmb for the past 2 years rv c boys 4x4 missed the finals by mere seconds, and they managed to get in this year, w/o 2 of their bests runners around. whoo, so happy for them. actually, i'm a bit jealous lar, they got in we didn't. but i know that i can't be a selfish person and ask zhenjie of yeowlin to run cos they have their individual events to rest for. STILL, the four of us did great today. to yong qiang, yong hao and weekiat: well done.
as for the others, congrats to michelle and emily for getting into 800m finals. c girls also did well by qualifying for 4x4 finals. to you gals: all the best! i'll be cheering for you all.
tmr morning can pon school to watch the 800m finals! yay! can wake up at 8am again! =D
oh oh i forgot! hendy also got into 1500m finals! that means final day another person to cheer for le =)

ok for today's race, i didn't qualify for 200m semis. only yeowlin did out of the three of us. i was the 31st and missed the semis but 0.1s. siao right, the gap between the 24th and the 31st person is 0.1s, lolx. anw, i did a 25.32. not bad lar. yeowlin was 12th, i think he did 24.something. yonghao did 26.40. as for the c boys, ermm, i dont think anyone qualified.
in the morning, zhenjie qualified for b boys 800m finals. hendy and minzhang both qualified for c boys 800m finals, and they were among the top few i think. michelle and joanna qualified for 1500m and 400m finals respectively.

hmmmmm, i happy happy today. had a nice day, hahax. a lot of funny stuff happened also, lolx.
1st incident:
in class today, mrs. look said "now u all know u don't need a driving license to drive me to my grave" xD (refer to previous post if u dunno why it's funny)
2nd incident:
after we were in "on your marks" position (i dunno how to spell ge gerisan or watever), this temasak sec guy kept doing this 'war cry' sort of shouting. the official got pissed, called us to get up and scolded him for disturbing the other competitors xD
3rd incident:
after our race, me, zj, yeowlin and pandian camped at the milo van to hide from the rain, and of course helped ourselves to the free flow of milo (zj had 11 cups, i drank abt 7-8) ...cheapo -.-
4th incident:
as we walked back to our seats, we saw 3 race officials playing 'minesweeper' on their respective laptops, LOL!
okok, abt the race. none of us qualified for 4x100m finals, but the b boys were great today. managed to do a 46.95s, cutting down our timing in the heats by 0.92s. a pity that our baton passing was not that good or we MIGHT have had a place in the finals. hmmmm then for 3000m, as usual, the 2 huayi tag-team broke the record again... leena came in 5th. well done. i'm now feeling motivated for my 200m race tmr =)
PS: had a chat with qingxiang today. guess wat, he told me that he scored a 18 for l1r5 for prelims (in rv) and he got 10 after moderation -.-

whew, last week was a rather busy week, with all the homework and trainings... nationals starts this thursday, and my first event will be on friday afternoon, 4x100m heats... today for training practised baton passing for quite a no. of times and i'm now rather confident with it. was suppose to do a 4x100 trial run for training today, but since only yeowlin and me are the only b boys from the 4x1 team who turned up, we ended up doing a 2x200 run -.- (coach's idea) haha we did a 49s, not bad lar hahax, beat the c boys 4x100 team leh xD
watched war of the worlds last saturday, the story was rather different from the book i read, but the movie was cool! hahax. today went to et's hse after training to play tennis. we were suppose to watch initial D after that cos et got the dvd, then becos no one booked the tennis court, we ended up playing tennis from 11+ to 4 (i reached there at 11:40) hahax, tennis is fun! lolx
