people always say "live life to the fullest", and yet, my life just seems so empty. it's like, my entire life only revolves around training and studies, as can be seen from my previous posts. i'm not saying that i dislike them, but it's just that when i'm neither training nor studying, i will find that i have almost absolutely nothing to do (note that i use the word 'almost', because my physics teacher says that nothing in this world is absolute) take today for example. i spent almost the entire afternoon stoning, watching the clouds float by while listening to music from the cranky old cd player.
yes, there are indeed many things which i indulge in, like watching anime, reading comics over and over again. but even these aren't enough, cos i can feel that i'm starting to get bored of them already. i probably need to find some new anime or comics to keep myself entertained. the anime part shouldn't be a problem, but will the @#$%&* naruto stop releasing filler episodes?! they're damn boring!!! as for the comics... i'm a little short on cash xP
track and field races are finally beginning. next sunday would be the first allcomers meet while sph relay is only a month away. that should be exciting x)
someone ask me out to play tennis?

had time trial today, which is just the thing i had been looking forward to.
had 80m and 300m trial. i was intending to do well for 300m, but the results were rather disappointing. let's talk about 80m first. i was a little surprised i did 9.68s as it was a rather big improvement from last year. i guess all those weight trainings paid off after all x)
well, for 300m, i don't know if it was due to the after effects of the 80m trial, but i completely flopped the last 50-80m. and i do mean COMPLETELY. my run was way way way off and i was struggling so badly in front of the finishing line. i could feel lactic flowing throughout my entire body, including my arms. it felt worst than my last year's 400m nationals. jonathan flopped his as well... 41.5s is definitely something which i should not be doing now...
so overall, i was neither satisfied nor sad about today's run, just felt... ok lar...

sometimes i just couldn't help but wonder if my fitness has been improving for the pass month. time and again i had failed to show myself that i had made even the slightest improvement. my 2.4km timing showed that i had deteriorated instead. i tried to tell myself it's just one pe lesson, maybe because the trainings before that had affected my performance that day? maybe... but how long will this excuse last? i need a time trial for 400m soon... at least to let myself know how far and how fast i am able to go...
no matter what, i need to hit 54s by july...

today hasn't been a good day for me. i dropped out of nj road run when i was 3/4 way through the route because of lactic acid flooding both my legs. how crap is that... my endurance is shit...
well, on a brighter note, we had track outing today which managed to cheer me up somehow. went for lunch at fish and co. before going to ps to catch a movie (somehow, due to some unknown reason, we decided on pink panther) haha, another hilarious movie i suppose. made me laugh quite a lot throughout the entire show.
need more training... a lot more...

finally, after much anticipation, it has been announced. well, i must say that my results were satisfying.
L1R5: 7
English: A2
Pretty happy with this grade, since languages were suppose to be my weakness.
English Literature: C5
Sort of abandoned this subject long ago, since i realised that i'll never make it. but still... nvm...
Combined Humanities: A1
Damn happy. I had pia-ed for this subject cos i know that i'll need it for my l1r5, and my efforts were well rewarded i guess =)
Mathematics: A1
Erm... Expected...
Additonal Mathematics: A2
One Word - Disappointed
Physics: A1
=D
Chemistry: A1
=D
Higher Chinese: B3!
Omg, i was expecting a C or maybe even a failure, as my paper 2 was a complete flop. my first 2 sections (tian ci) i only know 1 out of 10(result of not studying hard enough). i think my paper 1 saved me... and, i was completely stunned i got a B3 for hcl...
well, i guess i'll be staying in nj after all. don't ask me why.
edited: to all those who've said congrats: thanks =)

haha, i'm blogging again. simply because i had a really good training today, so i want to record it down in my 'fragments of memories'.
warm-up was the same as usual, stretching, drills bla bla bla. it was the workout which i really enjoyed. 80m x 3 followed by 150m x 3. felt good doing the 80m run, didnt really die out (yet) despite feeling fatigued from a horrible pe lesson this morning and from pandian's training last saturday. the 150m was the one that was... whoa. me and leon was like doing low 19s for all three sets, pia-ing like mad. we were like competing against each other. after the entire thing i simply collasped onto the ground and i could feel the lactic acid flooding my butt (400m runners should know what i mean) i havent had that feeling for some time already. leon was worse anyway, he puked out he's lunch after the third 150m O_O it was a great run today. it feels good to just collasp on the track after training, half dead, yet feeling good to have accomplished something. that's what i like about training.
during cool down/strengthening exercises, i looked up at the sky and saw a mixture of orange and red. it was quite a sight, right leon? x) wonder if i'll such a nice training again... but one thing's for sure - my muscles are gonna ache like mad tomorrow.

had a nice day today. everything was nice except for the sms qing sheng sent me saying "pls complete chem redox tutorial" oh crap.
started off with training in the morning at gombak with pandian/rv. it was great i guess, although i had a moderately tiring training yesterday at nj. zhenjie went for training as well. i was still surprised he went despite jonathan telling me that he's started to train with pandian since yesterday. 200m workout today was fine, managed to keep the pace well. overall, i was satisfied with today's workout.
after that had lunch with zhenjie and juniors at jec before heading to jtan's hse to bai nian. it was rather crowded there, with half of 3 classes cramping inside the apartment. we chatted and gambled, and it was pretty exciting watching how kaixuan lost thirty over dollars and winning all of them back in a single bet. and mrs tan is damn nice la, giving red packets (containing 4 bucks) to everyone. imagine how much she have to spent on those red packets. i think it's a few hundred la... anw, lucky thing was that 4i went late today, or else there wouldn't be enough space for them xD
went bukit timah plaza for a game of pool with desmond and jackson after that. my 4 dollars (not the red packet money) was definitely well spent, cos i only lost two games out of dunno how many.
btw, i've discovered that the people i know are starting to change their latecoming habits. 4k was early today in meeting up to go to jtan's hse. and there's 2 late-all-the-time people i know who're starting to be on time or early. they are non other than desmond and our dear coach pandian.
haix, they havent announce the release date of o levek results yet... guess it's gonna be friday after all...

oh man, i'm starting to have problems with jc work already... wonder if i'll be able to cope with the rest of jc life... i'll be needing lots of help with my schoolwork, that's for sure.
training's starting to get more and more intense already but i'm lovin' it xD today we did the curve thingy again. but this time it's 5 sets of 65m and 3 sets of 120m. sometimes i really dont know if i'm doing it correctly. just when i feel wierd about my run, coach will go "ar correct, good good. how u feel? good right?" and i'll just nod my head and "uh huh" like a retard.
there're lots of crap during training as well, especially from ppl like... um... everyone la.
